| Xavier Samuels' Band |
While the Backstreet Boys tour with New Kids on the Block, Xavier Samuel has formed his own boy band. When he's not busy being one of Hollywood's hottest actors, Xavier spends his time jamming with fellow Twilight costars Robert Pattinson and Jackson Rathbone.
Long before Xavier entered the acting world, he was the lead singer in an Australian band called Degrees of Freedom, a band that has since changed its name to Hyatus. You'd think his rapidly blossoming acting career would mean the end of his music days but between filmings, he's been rocking out on the guitar. Playing music helps him relax, but he's not looking to make a career of it, saying "I don't have any aspirations of becoming a musician or a rock star or anything like that but I take the guitar with me because it helps me wind down."
When asked about playing with fellow guitarist and Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson, Xavier said, "We do play together when we get the chance... but we're not going to start a boy band or anything like that." That's a relief for all the boy bands out there since the overwhelming popularity of theTwilight stars would be impossible to compete with. The decision to not pursue a music career is disappointing to legions of Twilight fans who would jump at the chance to see Edward Cullen, Riley Biers, and Jasper Hale all together in one band. Maybe sometime in the future they will perform publically, but for now, the Twilight band is just for kicks.
